NAB round up, Blackmagic, Panasonic, and more. DSLR FILM NOOB episode #22

  1. I think one of the great announcements of NAB is Davinci 12. I think this will become "the" tool for independant film makers. I currently use Premiere Pro CC for editing and Davinci 11 for color grading. With the addition of multi cam I will definately try keeping everything in Davinci. It floors me that this is free. Gerry in Calgary.

  2. Mitch got the shutter mixed up with the sensor when he was talking about the kitchen table stuff around the 6min mark.

  3. that ursa mini sounds great but im wondering if big companies will want freelancers who shoot with it…  If most people with the fs700 or c300 shoot freelance and send the footage to a in house editing place the ursa might be too much if it requires the color grading like all the other black macgic stuff

  4. Well, one plus, just half an hour of show makes for a more manageable watch though. 😛

Kind of interested in that 43rd startup from Shenzhen. Wasn't able to get anything out of Google on that! Sounds cool though.

  5. Frederico Monteiro

+onelonedork  Just a heads up i think you got the cameras mixed up, because the sony Fs7 shoots 4k internelly up to 60 fps, the a7s is the one who needs a external recorder.
BTW i love your podcasts, dont miss a single one.

  6. League of Winning

Global shutter is good for wedding work with people have a lot of still cameras and flashes.

  7. Mitch “planetMitch” Aunger

    weird audio problems

  8. can hear you both fine :)

  9. i can hear u both

  10. What camera is good for recording fast moving subjects?
