  1. Please correct me if I'm wrong, picture color management is the same option for both stills and video.. right?

  2. Thank you thank you thank you.

  3. This was great.

  4. Thanks for this!!!  I was getting so frustrated with "M(anual)" mode in video.  This helped a lot!  Thanks!

  5. Thanks, it helped.

I have a query. I followed your instruction to set aperture and shutter speed in the priority modes. In both modes the overall exposure is proper, the settings are same (1/50 shutter and F3.5, ISO 100). But with the same settings, when I switch to Manual mode, the picture becomes dark. Why ?

  6. Wow, I am going to buy this DSLR right now! So powerful and easy to use. Congrats to Nikon!

    I'm kidding.

  7. Thanks! Really helped! On the D3100 in ISO sensitivity settings I cannot select 1/50 as the min shutter speed, only 1/30 or 1/60. Any ideas?

  12. so easy… 😀 !!! thanks

  13. I generally would set the shutter as slow as possible (1/25 in 25p) and rather have the IOS as low as possible and be fully open aperture. Why is it that people say you should have twice the shutter of the frame rate? From my experience most cameras will introduce a lot of noise at anything over ISO 800 or even less with Panasonic cameras as their iso is stronger than the standard. With slower shutter I guess its the slight motion blur that is the issue and why people do twice the shutter? Its just a bit strange because it was a important feature in pro camcorders to be able to do slow shutter in low light. Anyway nice video seems a pain in the ass having to adjust settings in the menu like this on this camera. Good video quality though!
